Miss Nevada beauties descend on La Vecchia

La Vecchia hosted a bevy of beauties from the Miss Nevada competition Tuesday, July 16. The contestants were on hand to receive a proclamation from the Mayor's office naming the week of their competition "Miss Nevada Week." Chef Alberto went out of his way to make the ladies feel welcome during their visit. We stumbled upon La Vecchia while trying to find another restaurant. It was very late and obvious they were closing yet, they seated us anyway. Despite our late arrival the staff was awesome. They were friendly, accommodating and funny and provided us some of the best service I have ever received.
The food was outstanding. The whole experience was delightful and the prices were also extremely reasonable. Additionally, the restaurant is privately owned and operated. The owner/chef was on sight to say hello. Places like these are rare finds and SOOOOOO much better than the run of the mill chain operations.
I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting (or living in) Reno.
